What is Letrozole?
Letrozole is an aromatase inhibitor (AI) that is used to combat estrogenic side-effects of aromatising steroids. It’s commonly used by bodybuilders that want to treat or avoid issues like water retention, high blood pressure, and gynecomastia.
How Does Letrozole Work?
A type of aromatase inhibitor (AI), letrozole lowers estrogen levels by blocking the aromatase enzyme. Unlike a SERM that only targets certain parts of the body, letrozole is an AI, so helps treat various estrogenic side-effects of steroids.
It’s one of the most powerful AIs on the market, being incredibly efficient at reducing estrogen levels!
How to Take Letrozole
Letrozole can be taken during a steroid cycle or during PCT. Many take it during a cycle to avoid estrogenic-side effects developing in the first place, working as a preventative treatment.
If using during a steroid cycle, take no more than a 2.5mg of letrozole daily. Many prefer to take loser doses due to the potency of letrozole, so anywhere between a 0.5mg and 1.25mg daily dose is recommended to prevent estrogenic side-effects.
For PCT, take a similar dose as recommended above.
However, because of its potency, Letrozole may cause hormonal imbalance by significantly reducing estrogen levels. Therefore, it may be more beneficial to take a SERM like Nolvadex and Clomid for PCT.
